The launch of the iPhone 17 series is approaching fast, and rumors are piling up. Apple is expected to introduce subtle but important improvements in design and hardware that make the new iPhone 17 an attractive choice. In this article, you’ll find the latest information on the iPhone 17’s design, screen, camera, and performance.
An eye-catching change is that Apple plans to place the iconic Apple logo lower on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro. This modification is linked to a completely new, wider camera island that runs across the entire width of the back. This creates a clear separation between the camera section and the rest of the glass back.
Leaked cases and dummy models confirm this shift. Although relocating the logo may seem like a minor adjustment, it suggests Apple wants to give the design a fresh and modern look, especially since fewer significant hardware upgrades are expected. Keep an eye on our collection of original iPhone cases to be among the first to get the latest models that perfectly fit the iPhone 17.
Apple is increasing the screen size of the regular iPhone 17 to likely 6.3 inches, a slight growth compared to the iPhone 16’s 6.1-inch display. This means the regular iPhone and the Pro model will share the same screen size for the first time since 2023.
Additionally, a new iPhone 17 Air will debut with an approximately 6.6-inch screen, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max keeps its 6.9-inch display. For fans of smaller phones, the iPhone 16e with a 6.1-inch screen will remain available.
The iPhone 17 is expected to finally feature a ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, resulting in a smoother user experience. Furthermore, the front camera will be upgraded to a 24-megapixel sensor, producing sharper and more detailed selfies and videos.
RAM will also see a significant boost. The higher-end models — iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and Air — will likely get 12GB of RAM, enabling smoother multitasking and demanding apps.
While Pro Max models usually receive exclusive camera features, this year the difference mainly lies in battery life and size. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to be slightly thicker to house a bigger battery, resulting in longer battery life. The iPhone 17 Pro will retain roughly the same size as its predecessor.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 series, alongside the Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3, during its September 2025 event. That’s when all specs and features will be officially revealed.
With these updates, Apple aims to combine design refinements and performance improvements, making the iPhone 17 series appealing to both existing and new users.
